Home >All Categories > Science & Mathematics >Alternative >Paranormal Phenomena >Open QuestionJay Davda Jay Davda Member since:April 03, 2011Total points:88 (Level 1)As a result of using my model, I decided the venue, the supplier for the refreshments, if council funding was needed and a variety of things concerning the demonstrations, kit and the fundraising event. I found that my chosen venue was Brent Town Hall (as explained above), my refreshments suppliers were Sainsburys and MAM catering, and the upcycling kit and demonstrations were recommended because they consisted of numerous low cost materials. My ideas I had before using using the model did change as my original venue was far too expensive, and the upcycling kit originally cost too much money to produce.
The feedback I got was that my presentation was good as it displayed my recommendations of all aspects of the event (venues, demos, kit etc), and gave evidence via screenshots and charts from the model. However, it could be improved as it did not contain my logo, had a bit too much text, and the colour scheme (background) was not suitable. As a result of the feedback, I changed the background of the presentation to a very simple white, with a green design at the bottom, for a better finish. I included my logo at the top right of the presentation, using the slide master tool, so that it appears on every slide. I also limited the amount of text on each slide, so that the audience will easily be able to see all the information at a glance, and the speaker noted contain the majority of text.
I chose the images I have used because they relate directly to the Upcycling demonstrations, and I have included information about the demonstrations in a scrolling box, with the images next to them, to make the web page look more eye-catching and better presented. (The images are of the upcycled products of the demonstrations)
The feedback I got from my teacher and test buddy was that my web page was well presented, had good information and was user friendly, but was lacking in a few key features, such as external links and a scrolling marquee. As a result of the feedback, I included external links to separate websites for the venue of Brent Town Hall and the Refreshments. I also included a scrolling marquee at the top of the web page, so the viewer can easily see updates of the event. I noticed that the colour scheme consisted of more than 2 colours, so I limited the colour pallet to yellow and dark green, as these colours can be used as the background or font respectively.
To make my web page more persuasive to students, I could links to other sites, which contain extra information on upcycling, for example which materials can be upcycled and where you can learn more about upcycling. I could also include activities for the students on the website to complete, like an upcycling flow chart to illustrate the concept or various upcycling games.Answer Question
