Open Question: Really Hard Physics Question?

Figure 12-52a shows a horizontal uniform beam of mass m_b and length L that is supported on the left by a hinge attached to a wall and on the right by a cable at angle ? with the horizontal. A package of mass m_p is positioned on the beam at a distance x from the left end. The total mass is m_b + m_p = 60.2 kg. Figure 12-52b gives the tension T in the cable as a function of the package's position given as a fraction x/L of the beam length. The scale of the T axis is set by Ta 500 N and Tb 700 N. Evaluate (a) angle ?, (b) mass m_b, and (c) mass m_p.

Open Question: SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! ONLY IF UR REALLY GOOD AT MATH! MY 11TH GRADE SISTER DIDNT EVEN KNOW! PLEASE!!!!!!!!?

well i asked my teacher and she told me to sit back down and reread it, i already did like 10 times! but i still don't understand so please work everything out and please explain to me step by step thanks :)

1) The ratio of the angle measures of a triangle is 7:16:22. Find the angle measures. Then classify the triangle by its angle measures.

2) Plot the points A(6,3), B(-3,9), and C(-3,-3) in a coordinate plan. (i already did plot it) Connect the points to form a triangle. Use the distance formula to find the side lengths. Then classify the triangle by its side lengths.

3) The triangle inequality theorem states that the sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the length of the third side. Using this theorem, determine if the given side lengths from a triangle. Explain you reasoning.
A) 4,5,10
B) 4,5,9
C) 4,5,7

Open Question: A solar cooker, really a concave mirror pointed at the Sun, focuses the Sun's rays 14.6 cm?

in front of the mirror.

1.What is the radius of the spherical surface from which the mirror was made?

2.If you look at yourself in a shiny Christmas tree ball with a diameter of 9.6 cm when your face is 30.0 cm away from it, where is your image?

3.A dentist wants a small mirror that, when 2.00 cm from a tooth, will produce a 5.4\times (upright) image.
What must its radius of curvature be?

physics help please?

Open Question: Do people in the US. really Need to worry about Radiation plumes from the Fukishima Reactors?

Open Question: Do people in the US. really Need to worry about Radiation plumes from the Fukishima Reactors?

Since they won't bury the stupid things and wana let there whole country and half the world become contaminated to "Save a little money" will this Pose a threat to people living in the Central US?

I know what reports say, I want info from people who KNOW what they're talking about, because you know the government won't tell the truth for anything.

Is there any real health threat to those living in the US preferably my area Central US/Southern. and Explain to me every risk there might be and what precautions I should take..

I heard people from the last distasters and stuff were effected up to 8,000 miles away from those reactors and I'm only 6,000 miles away sooo is there any risk.
All this talk about "Iodine- 131" and "Toxic plutonium" and ect is starting to scare me. Plus the people who comment on those reports are freakin out and stuff too saying that they "Were getting out of here" and ect. so is it really that much of a problem to the US directly....

And no don't say "Oh did you die during Chernobyl" and ect CAUSE I WAS NOT ALIVE THEN!

and yes I'm worried about those in Japan... so no I'm not arrogant... I'm just concerned for my own health too
