http://www.webassign.net/cj7/20-p-052-alt.gif

The drawing shows a circuit that contains a battery, two resistors, and a switch. Consider the circuit with R1 = 66.9, R2 = 102.6, and V = 10.0.

(a) What is the equivalent resistance of the circuit when the switch is open and closed?

(b) What is the total power delivered to the resistors when the switch is open and closed?

Open Question: Is voltage and resistance shared in series circuits?

Open Question: Is voltage and resistance shared in series circuits?

Am I right in saying that for

series:
Total resistance = individual resistance of each component added
total voltage = individual voltage of each component added
current = same everywhere

parallel:
total resistance = ????????????
total voltage = same everywhere
total current = individual current of each component added

is this correct? and what is the total resistance for parallel circuits? thanks!!!!

Open Question: Physics: Resistance and Temperature?
Open Question: Chain Rule Maths linear air resistance.?

Open Question: Chain Rule Maths linear air resistance.?

A particle of mass m is projected vertically upwards with speed V in air that produces
a resistance to motion kv when the particle's speed is v. By using the chain rule and writing
z(double dot)= vv'(z), find an expression for H and deduce that m(V-gT) = kH.

How can you deduce that, with explanation please? I really struggle with the chain rule so any help would be appreciated.

Open Question: Adding up to total resistance?

Open Question: Adding up to total resistance?

Two identical resistors (each with resistance R) are connected together in series and then this combination is wired in parallel to a 20 uhm resistor. If the total equivalent resistance is 10 uhm, what is the value of R?

I set it up like this:

2R + 20 = 10
R=5

Did I set this up right?
