Open Question: How many cycles using pcr to amplify producing dna?

21:31 Publicado por Flechado16

Each cycle of PCR increases the amount of DNA exponentially. For example, if you start with one fragment of DNA, after the first cycle, you will have two fragments. After the second cycle, you will have four.

You can run as many cycles as you want, but typically about 20-30 cycles are used for DNA amplification.
