Open Question: math 12 help transformations?
Question is :
the graph of x² + y² = 16 has the following transformations applied to it. Determine an equation for the new graph.
A vertical expansion by a factor of 3, then reflected in the y-axis.
My answer so far is
(-x)² + ((1/3)y)²=16
Is this correct way of expressing it or is it possible to change it to y=x instead o fkeeping them on same side. If there isnt is the expansion for y there suppose to be 3 or 1/3?
Thanks
