Open Question: Vector and newtons 3rd law question I'm stuck on?
A duck has a mass of 2.4 kg. As the duck paddles, a force of 0.13 N acts on it in a direction due east. In addition, the current of the water exerts a force of 0.23 N in a direction of 43° south of east. When these forces begin to act, the velocity of the duck is 0.15 m/s in a direction due east. Find the magnitude and direction (relative to due east) of the displacement that the duck undergoes in 3.2 s while the forces are acting.
I got the resulting angle from the vectors to be 27.7 degrees south of east and for some reason am coming up with a displacement of 1.26 meters in that direction, however, this is incorrect. could someone please help me out with this one?
