Does anyone have any advice on how to choose a good university for a distance learning degree in geography? Preferably UK based.

I've looked at the University of London as they are supposed to good for distance learning. However, i've spoken to some people online that said they've taken DL courses from the University of London and not got on well with them. Others have done very well in their courses. I am unsure of the quality of their course material, and being a distance learning course with no face to face tuition, i think i'll need to go with a provider that offers good resources and a good amount of support in order to pass exams.

The Open University doesn't do a straight up geography degree, i know there are various others, but i don't know how to get any information on whether they're any good or not. I'd hate to begin a course only to realise it's crap and doesn't provide enough support to pass the exams when they come round.

Any advice?
