Open Question: How would you solve this? (probably quadratic)...?
I dont know how to get on with this quiestion, I believe it's gonna be something to do with quadratics as it is placed with other quiestions on quads. I know how to use the quadratic formula but this task just makes it complicated, so:
'The perimeter of a rectangle is 48cm. If one side is of length x cm, show that the area of a rectangle is (24x - x^2)cm^2. If the area is 128cm^2, find the length of the shorter side.'
Thanks for any help in advance
