Open Question: Images formed by curved mirrors(physics)help?
I had to answer 40 questions for my lab but im not too sure about these eight questions so please help with as many as you can, please and thanks!!!
1.What types of images does a concave mirror produce?(2 marks)
-i put real and Virtual(is this right or wrong)
2. Where must an object be located for a concave mirror to produce a real image?(1 mark)
3. What happens to the size of the real image as the object is moved towards F?( 1 mark)
- i put it gets larger(is this right or wrong?)
4. What is the only location where a concave mirror will not produce an image?( 1 mark)
5. Where must the object be located for a concave mirror to produce a virtual image?(1 mark)
6. When you use a convex mirror, why do you not have follow the same procedures similar to that of the concave mirror?(2 marks)
7. Flashlights and car headlights all use concave mirrors. Why would it not be a good idea to use a convex mirror instead(2 marks)?
8. A concave mirror has a focus of 12 cm from the mirror. Predict the characteristics of the image produced if a candle is placed:
a. 18 cm from the mirror(4 marks)
b. 9 cm from the mirror(4 marks)
use ray diagrams to check your predictions.
