Open Question: What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-3,1) and (0, -5)?

20:19 Publicado por Nadim

the slope is -2.

in order to find it, use the slope of a line formula.

delta y/delta x which is also change in y and change in x
so basically u subtract y2 and y1. to get chnage in y
then subract x2 and x1 to get change in x

so x1 = -3 y1= 1
x2 = 0 y2 = -5
so then u solve -5-1/=0-(-3) slope is equal to -2 for this line
