Open Question: What percentage of the speed of light in vacuum is the speed of light in crown glass?

13:50 Publicado por Nadim

The index of refraction is ratio of (speed of light in vacuum)/(speed of light in material).

So 1/n is the fraction (speed of light in material)/(speed of light in vacuum).

For instance, if n = 1.4, then 1/n = 0.71 which means the speed of light in that material is 71% of the speed of light in vacuum.

Now use the index of refraction for crown glass.
