Open Question: Science behind kissing question?

Home >All Categories > Science & Mathematics >Biology >Open QuestionsingerGal singerGa... Member since:January 12, 2010Total points:1,531 (Level 3)if you're kissing someone and somehow you like the taste of their lips more than, say an ex, does that mean your's and this new guy's (that your kissing) genetics are more compatible to create babies? Because its kind of weird, but i didn't quite like how my ex's kisses tasted. Even if he brushed and swished with mouthwash. But this other guy that I used to like, his kisses were yummy. haha! so does that mean mine and my old crush's pheromones or whatever are better suited for each other? Just curiousAnswer Question

What is the freezing and boiling point of GaBr3?

I have tried to look on google but it is not helping me.

The molality of the solution is 0.968 if that helps anything

And also what type of compound is GaBr3 (Gallium Bromide)

Open Question: A truely perfect vacuum?

Open Question: A truely perfect vacuum?

Home >All Categories > Science & Mathematics >Astronomy & Space >Open QuestionIs it possible? I mean all space is a vacuum but cannot be a perfect vacuum because at the end of the day, if it is inhibited by nothing but space, then it is still inhibited by space: So therefore either a perfect vacuum cannot ever truely exist or such a thing does exist but since it is not reletive to space or time we shall never observe it because technically, it would not exist: Can anyone make sense of this?I mean in the sense of absoloutely no fluctuations, and no space or time to inhibit such a realm: Im asking could you observe this at a physical point of view or is it the sort of thing which we knew existed but could never prove due to technological restirctions(Other examples of this is the centre of the universe idea). An a cannonical vacuum is still inhibited by particles of some form or another, and will definately be contaminated with either dark energy or neutrino particles.14 minutes ago

Answer Question

Don M by Don M Member since:June 13, 2006Total points:21,810 (Level 6)Are you talking about a canonical vacuum, that is, one without so-called quantum fluctuations? I suppose theoretically you could... that would be basically a zero-energy Higgs field as I understand it. But you would not be able to confine the vacuum without creating energy, because doing so makes the position of the vacuum less uncertain, and thus increases the energy.

Open Question: The axis of symmetry of a parabola is x=3.0. It crosses the x-axis at (1,0)...?

Open Question: The axis of symmetry of a parabola is x=3.0. It crosses the x-axis at (1,0)...?

the axis of symmetry is smack in the middle between the two places where the graph crosses the x axis.

so since there is a difference of 2 units from the point (1,0) and (3,0). the difference is going to be the same but on the other side, so (3+2 , 0) = (5,0)

Open Question: I don't understand how to solve these equations, please help (year 9 advanced maths)?

Open Question: I don't understand how to solve these equations, please help (year 9 advanced maths)?

1)

5*(2*y + 1) = 7*( - 3*y - 3)

10*y + 5 = - 21*y - 21

10*y + 21*y = - 21 - 5

31*y = - 26

y = - 26/31

2)

(2/3)*y + 3*y = 8 + 1

(11/3)*y = 9

y = 27/11

3)

(6*P)/h = a + b

b = (6*P)/h - a

Open Question: Net ionic, dissolving need help with Home work Problem?

i am stuck on how to begin please help thanks :)

A NH3/NH4Cl buffer solution (prepared by adding 12M HCl drop wise to the 0.05 moles of NH3 until pH=8.5 then add distill water to the volumetric flask; the final volume is 500.0 mL).
1. write the net ionic equation to show NH3 makes the solution basic
2. can the solution dissolve 10.00g CuCl2

Ka of NH4Cl =5.6 x 10^-10
Kf of Cu(NH3)4^2+ = 4.8 x 10^12
Cu(OH)4^2- = 1.3 x 10^16
Ksp of Cu(oh) = 1.3 x 10^-20

Open Question: What would happen if the earth suddenly stopped spinning, hypothetically speaking?

Home >All Categories > Science & Mathematics >Physics >Open QuestionJoey Bukai by Joey Bukai Member since:May 15, 2011Total points:208 (Level 1)Wherever there is day, would forever stay day, and wherever it is currently night, will forever stay night.Nothing to worry about! If something had enough power to overcome the kinetic energy of the rotating earth, it would wipe everything out. If nothing else, the oceans would flow over all the land and wash everything away since the surface of the earth is 75% water. Inertia could be a *****.We would all be thrown at 1035 mph because we were spinning with the Earth but it stopped in an instant and we would still be going 1035 mph

Open Question: How do I use an Easy Bake Oven without a 100W bulb?

Open Question: How do I use an Easy Bake Oven without a 100W bulb?

My friend got a Easy Bake Oven for his birthday, the issue is it asks for a 100W bulb. We went to Walmart to ask if they had any, but she told us that they don't sell any in Canada anymore because they use too much energy. Does anyone know a solution other then going to the US and getting one (assuming they sell them). Can we use a 60W or something? Any Suggestions is helpful.

Thank you,

Open Question: Is the world going to end saturday tomorow?

no your stupid. Here's what the retard Camping (the man who came up with this load of BS) has to say about why he thinks it:

Harold Camping has warned that the Rapture would come on May 21st 2011 for years, and end nears, many are left questioning if his Prophecy is fake. The Bible has taught Christians to always be ready for the Second Coming of Jesus at any time, sparking Judgement Day predictions throughout history. Even Harold Camping had a previous prediction of the Return of Jesus for the Rapture that was incorrect due to a mathematical error – when his September 1994 date came and went without incident. What makes him so sure that this year, this date of May 21 2011, will in fact be the date of the Rapture?

The number 5 equals “atonement”, the number 10 equals “completeness”, and the number 17 equals “heaven”.
Christ hung on the cross on April 1, 33 AD. The time between April 1, 33 AD and April 1, 2011 is 1,978 years.
If 1,978 is multiplied by 365.2422 days (the number of days in a solar year), the result is 722,449.
The time between April 1 and May 21 is 51 days.
51 + 722,449 = 722,500.
(5 × 10 × 17)2 or (atonement × completeness × heaven)2 also equals 722,500.
Thus, Camping concludes that 5 × 10 × 17 is telling us a “story from the time Christ made payment for our sins until we’re completely saved.”

God said that no person nor angel would know when he was coming anyways.
