If something had enough power to overcome the kinetic energy of the rotating earth, it would wipe everything out. If nothing else, the oceans would flow over all the land and wash everything away since the surface of the earth is 75% water. Inertia could be a *****.We would all be thrown at 1035 mph because we were spinning with the Earth but it stopped in an instant and we would still be going 1035 mph
