Gary H by Gary H Member since:November 16, 2007Total points:24,578 (Level 6)If you reduce the pressure on water, the boiling point temperature goes down. This is why some cooking recipes are a little different in Denver CO than they are at sea level. Higher altitude lowers the boiling point of water. Reverse is lso true, if you pressurize the system, like a pressure cooker on the stove, the boiling point goes up. If the atmospheric pressure goes down far enough, the water in the astronaut's body starts to boil.

Open Question: Why does green plants need sun for photosynthesis to occur? Give for factors neccesary for photosynthesis t?

Sun light in the form of photons (packets of energy) excites electrons within the chloroplast. The electron jumps and eventually stimulates the membrane to open up. Once it's open hydrogens flow in and as that's happening, enzymes help break the bond in H2O (water). Then O2 flows out of the thylakoid and the hydrogens are kicked out as well through ATP synthase this stimulates another reaction in which ADP and P+ join to make ATP (adenosine tri phosphate). On the other side of the membrane the same electron that was excited stimulates another reaction in which NADP and H+ joint to make NADPH.

Once this occurs NADPH and ATP are picked up by the stroma and through the benson cycle they help creat C6H12O6 (glucose).

So to recap CO2 + H2O form C6H12O6 + O2

Open Question: Can explosive events occur in the sky can during the formation of a star?

Your question structure is......difficult to interpret.

A star forms half way across the galaxy. No one may be able to even notice, since the process happens over millions of years. I would have to say that you're not going to see "rockets red glare" and "bombs bursting in air" unless you're willing to sit and wait over a very long time span.
