Open Question: The hydrolysis of sucrose to fructose is first order in sucrose?
What fraction of sucrose, expressed as a percent, would hydrolyze in 3.40 hours?
__ %
Open Question: what are some actions that individuals, or society as a whole, take in order to help us, but actually hurt us?
Open Question: How close would the masses 0.470 kg and 0.102 kg have to be in order for the gravitational force between them?
The basic formula is F = G Mm/ R^2
G is the universal constant of gravitation. ( = 6.67 * 10 ^ -11)
Rewriting we get R = sqrt ( G Mm/F)
= sqrt(6.67 * 10 ^ -11 * 0.47 *0.10/1.01)
=1.76 * 10 ^ -6 m.
Open Question: What is the Minimum velocity with which we have to travel in order to feel the effect of Time Dilation?
Gravity and acceleration have the exact same effects concerning physical laws.
Open Question: After fertilization what is the correct order of events?
B. Implantation of embryo in uterine wall -> Stimulates corpus luteum to grow -> Embryo secrets HCG
C. Implantation of embryo in uterine wall -> Embryo secrets HCG ->Stimulates corpus luteum to grow
D. Continued secretion of progesterone and estrogen -> Embryo secrets HCG -> Stimulates corpus luteum to grow -> Implantation of embryo in uterine wall
Open Question: How do you find the order of a field?
Open Question: arrange the bonds in order of increasing polarity? I-F, Br-F, Br-Br?
I is less electronegative than Br so it does not pull the electron density as much as bromine would.
Because F is the most electronegative, more electron density is towards the F when the other atom is less electronegative
And Br-Br is last because the electron density is shared equally
Open Question: ) A quadrant of radius , centred at is cut from the above desk in order to create a computer work-station d?
Find the mass of the computer work-station desk.
Write down the double integrals that give the co-ordinates of its centre of mass. Note that you are not required to find the centre of mass.
Square desk has co ordinates on (0,0) (2a,0) (0,2a) (2a,2a)
Open Question: Applications of first order linear ODEs. Calculus?
An office contains 1000 ft^3 of air initially free of carbon monoxide. Starting at time = 0, cigarette smoke containing 4% carbon monoxide is blown into the room at the rate of 0.5 ft^3/min. A ceiling fan keeps the air in the room well circulated and the air leaves the room at the same rate of 0.5ft^3/min. Find the time when the concentration of carbon monoxide reaches 0.01%.
I'm always having trouble setting up this equation
I know s = smoke;
so DS/dt = in - out
[4% * 0.5ft^3/min] - [0.01% * 0.5ft^3/min ] I know I'm missing some variables such as t, to find the time when concentration of smoke is 0.01%
My assumption is 4% of 1000ft^3 so that there is 9060ft^3 = air while 40ft^3 = smoke in.
0.01% of 1000 is 9090 = air and 10 = smoke.
Just need help setting up the question and understanding how to get it.
