2*10*(10-1)/2 = 90 matches
in simpler terms...
10 teams, each playing the other 9 teams take part in 90/2 matches (divide by two because you are counting both teams that plays in a match).
If everyone plays each other twice, that's 2*90/2 = 90 matches
