Open Question: How much smaller does something look that is 10 m away than something that is 5 m away?

This is a matter of perspective.
For the most part, the 10 meter object will be half the size of the 5 meter object.

It is a triangle that has your eye at the point and one side at the distances involved, the objects are at right angles to this base line. If the vertical is twice the distance then the angle will be halved when you double the distance from your eye.
