Open Question: Subdividing B-Spline Curves/Surfaces?

Melissa Member since:May 25, 2011Total points:114 (Level 1)Good Morning All,
I am currently working on trying to break up a B-Spline curve that is generated and would like to know if that is possible.
Background:
A surface is being generated for instance say a mailbox and i want to take a specific part of that mailbox and manipulate it. Currently a least square approximation method is used to manipulate but I was wondering if it is possible to take that specific region of the curve and manipulate the weights of the Spline to have a better fit. Is this possible and where would I turn for information?
Thanks!
MelThis is a theory to improve an existing CAD program. I am thinking of subdividing the current B-Spline curve (surface) by implementing more knots.18 minutes agoAnswer Question

Hope I helped
