Open Question: What is the y intercept of the line tangent to the graph of the function...?

7:13 Publicado por Nadim

You are doing OK so far.

As a previous answerer said, y = 9/2. This is the y-coordinate of the graph of f(x) when x = 2.

y - 9/2 = (13/4) (x - 2)
4y - 18 = 13x - 26
4y = 13x - 8
y = (13/4) x - 2
That is the tangent line equation, so the y-intercept is -2.
